I was skeptical about Uber Eats. But they got me to try it with a $30 discount.

I placed my order and I was getting text updates, received, being prepared, out for deliver, arrived but wait for the next text. I never got the next text. After almost an hour the order has still not arrived. I went back into the app and found the driver had delivered the order but to a different address.

At first I thought it was the drivers mistake. I reported the issue in the app but there was no way to reorder, the closest option was to just get a refund. So I got refunded the small amount I paid and I lost the use of the discount that was the reason I was trying them out. There was no way to get the tip back.

I looked everywhere for a way to contact Uber Eats. There were articles and search results all providing contact email and phone number, even on the review site that I'm posting this on, but that have all been shut down and don't work. There is apparently no way to contact Uber Eats if you have a problem except to choose one of their canned options in the app. If I could have contacted them, if they cared to provide a way, this probably could have been cleared up.

Later I was revisiting my order in the app, I stared placing a new order and I noticed they had my address wrong. They don't offer to let you type in your address they use your location. It looked very close to my address and I assumed it was right. So the order was delivered correctly by the driver.

This is a shortcoming of the app. The main problem is they don't provide a way to contact them. For that reason I doubt I'll ever use them again. They had one chance to impress me, because I was not looking for a delivery service.

They could have saved this by providing a way to contact them instead of dehumanizing their app and forcing all issued into pigeon hole choices.

A refund was not an acceptable solution. I and my family were excited to try this, then the way they automatically handled it was a huge disappointment and embarrassing to me in front of my family.

User's recommendation: Don't get your hopes up.
