Ubereats - Fraudelent use of bank details

New ReviewerAn account was set up using my details without my knowledge. When I became aware of this I cancelled my bank card and received a new one
I cancelled any accounts using my details with Uber and received an email saying that they had cancelled the account I then received a new card from my bank and within one week I saw that three transactions had taken place using the new details I contacted my bank and explained what had happened and they referred the matter to their fraud department They explained that with some companies there is a system that when a new card is issued the details are accessed by that company
In my view, this is theft and entirely unprofessional and should be stopped immediately
In the meantime, my bank is disputing the transactions with Uber and trying to recover the money
It would also help if there was a contact number to speak to someone in cases like this
User's recommendation: check your bank statements and details to make sure that if you cancel an account with Uber They do so immediately.
