So Uber and UberEats once again proves its merit for the worst consumer service (laughable) in the American business landscape. The icing on this cake is the "24/7 customer service telephone number" that when called plays a recording that says it is not in service.
Sums up the business and should serve as its motto.
The issue is simply that when placing a food order, the website adds the monies in your wallet to the amount of the food order, displaying the sum as the total amount due. It then subtracts your wallet balance from this sum, leaving as the amount to be paid, the true amount of the order, thereby negating your wallet balance. Slick, huh.
Needless to say, we do not place the order.
Instead, we try the only complaint route possible, which is to email Uber and UberEats. The result is a deafening silence.
User's recommendation: Short this company's stock and do not leave a cash balance in your Uber wallet if you intend to use UberEats.
