I submitted an order to Applebee's. After receiving my first order I sat down to eat and approx.
5 min after receiving the 1st order I heard what I thought to be a knock on the door. I noticed a package on the ground and though to myself "I thought Uber left. Then I thought the driver I must have brought something they forgot to include in the order. I didn't think much more about it because I only submitted one order and it didn't seem like they had forgotten anything.
When using the app I was trying to use the promo to receive $25 off my first order. When placing the order I received a message saying the promo was no longer being honored... I then was offered a promo for $5 off any order over $25. Frustrated, disappointed and starving I placed the order anyway.
I had spotted this promo on Google. This was the only reason I chose Applebee's. I thought this was a great deal and would makesuch a meal a reality for me. I didn't realize till morning that I may have been charged for both order and deliveries.
After reviewing my mobile banking app I realized I had indeed been charged for both almost îdentical packages..I was sent at nearly the same time. Being a single disabled senior on social security I am rarely able to treat myself to a meal at these prices. Let alone for 2. Almost $60.
deducted from my bank account I was unaware of. Trying to be thrifty I dug a grave for myself. I would have thought someone at Applebee's would have verified this almost duplicate order and delivery address. Not real sure what happened or ebay may has be went wrong on whose end but I feel like it should have been an error that should have been discovered before the 2nd package was sent.
