I NEED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE ON THE PHONE REGARDING A POSSIBLE THEFT FROM AN UBER EATS DRIVER. LONG STORY.
THEY SAID THEY CANNOT HELP ME WITH THE ISSUE AND IM ABOUT TO LOSE MY MIND. I CALLED THEIR LINE, THE ROBOT GAVE ME AN EMAIL. IT BOUNCED BACK. WENT ON UBER EATS WEBSITE.
GAVE ME A DIFFERENT EMAIL- STILL BOUNCED BACK. THEY TOOK OVER AN HOUR TO RESPOND TO ME ON FACEBOOK AND AFTER MY LENGTHLY EMAIL FROM MY COMPUTER WHICH I DID NOT WANT TO RETYPE, I HAD TO DO IT THROUGH THE APP AND THEY SAID THEY CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I DID NOT RECEIVE AN APOLOGY, THEY DID NOT CONTACT THE DRIVER TO ASK HIM ANYTHING i came home last night, took out my keys, i didnt realize my wallet fell out in front of my door. i had over $100 cash before I walked in my door ordered uber eats, when he got here and he buzzed up.
I know he came up because i let him in the building. i wondered why it took so long, then he calls me again saying he couldnt come up and i had to come down but did not give me an explanation why he could not come up when i already buzzed him in. i walk out of my apartment and i find my wallet in the hallway with all the cash gone. i will be checking the cameras in my building because i believe when i buzzed him up he found my wallet, saw it was the same name and apartment and stole the cash, went back down the elevator and said he couldnt come up.
i buzzed him in so theres no reason for him not to be able to come to my door- that makes no sense. i highly doubt anyone on my floor would be up for 15 minutes between 2 and 2:15am…i also did not hear any doors on my floor unlock, they are loud, i know ALL my neighbours and people are old so they wouldnt be up.
im checking the office cameras on monday to see if he came up because why was he so hesitant to come to my door….probably because he saw my wallet in front of my door, stole the cash, and went back down to make it look like he never came up If he was the perpetrator and it is on camera i will be going to the police, , and will be contacting the media. they did not reach out to this driver about why he was unable to come up when he was SUPPOSED TO COME TO MY DOOR, nor was i issued an apology from uber for having to go downstairs when i am sick when i clicked that he would come to my door
