I ordered 2 pizzas yesterday along with two beverages and 2 desserts of a kind and a driver of yours was not smart enough to tell something was missing. He was leaving as I was about to ask him about the pizzas whereabouts.
I live in a triplex and the stairs were kind of steep and it was really windy so I gave him the benefit of the doubt as I thought he was going to take a second trip and come back with the pizzas But HE LEFT. I called the restaurant and the lady told me she saw the driver leave the restaurant with the whole order. I gave the driver a tip on top of all that. I was hungry and mad but now I am pissed:
The lady was kind enough to call ubereats to follow up on that issue so as to be granted some kind of refund.
She told me she received confirmation that I was going to get a refund but ubereats charged me instead. Ubereats took around 120 $ out of my wallet overall for that order.
I asked the lady that I still wanted the pizzas I ordered.
I did not pay for it and therefore gave a 20 $ tip to express my gratitude in cash to the delivery guy who was NOT an ubereats driver himself, simply that restaurant employee.
Long story short, Ubereats owes US, me as well as to that restaurant's owner. I strongly believe Ubereats can afford that.
I normally do not bother to give such a bad review but when it comes to food a physiological need and this amount of money I work hard enough to get, sorry but that is a shame.
